An Inspiring Learning Trip to PIK Bumbi Journey in North Jakarta
Our Year 3 and Year 4 students enjoyed an inspiring learning trip to PIK Bumbi Journey in North Jakarta, where they explored the vital role mangroves play in protecting our environment.
Students worked collaboratively to plant mangrove saplings — helping safeguard coastlines, support biodiversity and create future habitats for wildlife. Along the way, they discovered many fascinating creatures, asked brilliant questions and showed wonderful curiosity and care for the planet.
We are also extremely proud that there is now a plaque recognising 33 ISJ students who planted mangroves — a lasting reminder of their contribution to environmental stewardship. Well done, Lions!
