About The Independent School of Jakarta

An ISJ education is an adventure. We support our pupils to become confident and creative learners, providing them with a safe and vibrant space to grow and thrive.

Pupils are encouraged to take risks, develop critical thinking, and embrace the joy of discovery. Whether they are mastering a new language, exploring complex sciences, or performing on stage, we ensure every child has the tools to make the most of every opportunity.

While we hold ourselves to the highest academic standards, the heartbeat of ISJ is our community. Here, children are known by name, their unique talents are celebrated, and their voices are heard. We foster an environment where ambition meets empathy, preparing our boys and girls not just for their next school, but for a meaningful life in a global society.

Academic Excellence

Our pupils consistently achieve results in the top 10% of international schools worldwide in English, Mathematics, and Science—placing ISJ among the leading British international schools globally.
