With the support of the Schools Trust, our bursary and scholarship programme aims to broaden access so children from a wide range of backgrounds can join our community and thrive.

Global Continuity Bursary
An International School Bursary providing Financial Aid for Expat Families in Jakarta.
The Global Continuity Bursary is designed to maintain a diverse international community at ISJ. We provide financial assistance to expatriate families who are a perfect fit for our community but find full tuition fees a significant hurdle. This program is specifically intended for families on "Local-Plus" contracts, the self-employed, or those privately funding their children's education.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Expatriate Status: At least one parent or guardian must hold a non-Indonesian passport and a valid KITAS.
Demonstrated Need: Families must demonstrate that they are paying tuition fees privately and do not receive a full educational allowance from an employer.
Academic Standing: Pupils must meet ISJ’s standard admissions requirements and show a commitment to contributing to school life.
Global Trajectory: Preference is given to families who require a British curriculum to ensure seamless future transitions to their home country or international hubs like Singapore and Sydney.
Assessment Process
The bursary is means-tested, and support levels are determined by a confidential review of the family’s financial profile. Factors considered include:
Gross household income and liquid assets.
The proportion of net income required to pay full fees.
Relocation expenses and the local cost of living.
Number of siblings enrolled at ISJ.
Terms of the Award
Confidentiality: To protect the privacy of our families, both the school and the recipient agree to keep the existence and amount of the bursary strictly confidential.
Duration: Awards are typically granted for one academic year and are reviewed annually. Support is intended to be consistent, provided the family’s financial circumstances do not change.
Scope: The bursary applies to Annual Tuition Fees only. It does not cover the Capital Levy, uniforms, transport, or optional school trips unless explicitly stated in the award letter.
