Tuition Fees

Academic Year 2025–26

The following sets out the steps from application through to enrolment, as well as the tuition and annual fees for the year ahead. These contributions enable us to provide outstanding teaching, individual care, and a wide range of opportunities for every pupil.

If you have any questions about fees or payment options, our admissions team will be happy to help.

1. Application

The Application Fee of IDR 4,680,000 is payable when submitting the Application Form. Families may pay by bank transfer or, if preferred, directly at the school (credit card, debit card, or QRIS). Please note that the Application Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

2. Enrolment

When a place is offered and a family chooses to accept, the following payments are required to confirm enrolment:

2.1 Enrolment Deposit

An Enrolment Deposit of IDR 16,328,000 is refundable in full when a pupil leaves ISJ – provided that one full term’s written notice1 has been given in writing to the Academic Director and all financial obligations have been met.

2.2 Advance Payment

To secure a place, families pay a deposit equal to one term’s tuition fees plus one-third of the Capital Contribution and one-third of the Materials Fee. These amounts are credited in full against the first year’s invoices.

Together, the Enrolment Deposit and Advance Payment confirm a pupil’s place.

3. Tuition and Annual Fees

3.1 Capital Contribution

IDR 54,360,800 per year

This contribution helps us continually improve the school environment. It supports the upkeep and development of our campus so that pupils can learn and play in safe, well-equipped, and inspiring surroundings. These fees are payable annually in full and are strictly non-refundable.

3.2 Materials Fee

IDR 15,683,200 per year

This fee covers the day-to-day resources pupils use in class – such as books, stationery, art supplies, and science materials. It ensures teachers have what they need to deliver high-quality lessons without families needing to manage extra purchases. These fees are payable annually in full and are strictly non-refundable.

4. Bursaries and Financial Support

If this is you and you are interested let us know. Please note that funds are limited and are assessed on a case by case basis.

5. Additional Notes, Terms & Conditions

One terms notice - first day of prior term

5.1 What’s not included

Certain extras, such as personal devices, uniform, meals, transport, clubs, wraparound care, individual music lessons, and trips or curriculum-linked events, are billed separately.

5.2 Sibling Discount

To recognise and support families with more than two children at ISJ, we offer a tuition fee reduction of 5% for a third child, 10% for a fourth, and 15% for a fifth and subsequent children. This assistance applies to tuition fees only.

5.3 Payment Structure (Annual / Termly)

Tuition is normally paid annually, with termly arrangements available by prior agreement.

In exceptional circumstances, additional support such as monthly payments, financial support, or some other form of assistance or consideration may be provided. Any such exceptions require a meeting with the Academic Director and may be subject to approval by the Board or the bursary committee.

5.4 Fee Reviews

Fees are normally reviewed once a year to ensure ISJ continues to invest in excellent teachers, facilities, and programmes. However, the school always retains the right to make adjustments during the course of an academic year if circumstances require. In all cases the school will endeavour to communicate changes with as much notice as possible.

5.5 Late Payment

All fees must be settled by the due date stated on the invoice. Late payments will incur a charge of 2% per month on the outstanding balance. The school reserves the right to withhold reports, references, or access to classes and activities where fees remain unpaid.

5.6 Mid-Year Enrolments

Pupils joining part-way through a term will be charged pro rata for tuition, capital, and materials fees.

5.7 Other Charges

From time to time, additional charges may apply for special activities, external examinations, or optional programmes. These will always be communicated in advance.

5.8 Major Disruption

In the event of unavoidable closure, disruption, or a shift to remote learning due to circumstances beyond the school’s control, fees remain payable in full.

5.9 Refunds

(a) Tuition and related charges
Tuition (and any optional charges such as meals, trips, or clubs) already paid in advance will be refunded for any full term not attended, provided the appropriate notice1 of withdrawal has been given.

(b) Non-refundable fees
The Application Fee, Capital Contribution, and Materials Fee are non-refundable.

(c) Enrolment Deposit
Refunded in full when a pupil leaves ISJ, subject to one full term’s written notice1 (in writing to the Academic Director) and the settlement of any outstanding amounts.

(d) Enrolment Deposit & Advanced Payment
In the event of the cancellation of an enrolment, prior to starting class, the Enrolment Deposit and Advanced Payment, which act as a deposit and guarantee of the place, are not refundable.

An enrolment may only be postponed once and only with the approval of the Academic Director, following which the Enrolment Deposit and Advance Payment, which act as a deposit and guarantee of the place, shall be forfeited (and not refundable).

5.10 Definition of “One Full Term’s Notice”

A “full term’s notice” means that written notice of withdrawal must be received by the school on the first day of the preceding term.

For example, if a pupil is to leave on the last day of Term 3, notice must be given no later than the first school day of Term 2.
